Us CAS gals got our Thank You on with this week's challenge! Our task...create a Thank You card using Fall colors! And the team did it again with some AMAZING samples! Make sure to check out the challenge HERE and play along!

Here is my sample for the week...

I wanted it to feel warm and homey, from the sentiment to the felt flower and felt rik-rak!

So I received in the mail 2 weeks ago the Holiday Cards and More Paper Crafts magazine and man was it AWESOME to see my own card published among the other outstanding and completely STUNNING creations they chose for this publication! It was such a surprise to have my card chosen in the first place! Yes, I had to have some kind of confidence in what I was creating to be able to submit, but never did I truly think it would happen!

It is an honor, and extremely exciting to share the card today!

If I had to pick one from the probably 10 I submitted, this would have been the one I chose as well! It was the most fun to create and when it was completed I was so proud of myself for creating it! I'm not usually one for loving or even liking something I make, but this once, I did!

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the editors, designers and all of the AWESOME people who work at Paper Crafts magazine for bringing our crafty world such fantastic inspiration with each and every issue!

This weeks challenge was picked by ME!! Use your FAVORITE (or one of) your favorite patterned paper on your CAS card! I picked SU! Brights collection....totally LOVE the colors and patterns! I made quite the funky birthday card!

Pretty cute right?! I LOVE this birthday stamp (SU! and I cut it apart!) and that little skull punch is supah cute!! (thank you Rosie for letting me use it!)

It's getting crazier!

This time of year I am sure is wild for EVERYONE who celebrates the holidays the way we do...not only do they come up SO QUICKLY, but they are so close together! UGH it's a super fun time but totally exhausting. And leaves much little time for crafting!

I did however manage a card for this weeks CAS challenge at The Outlawz...HOWEVER...I did it wrong haahahaa, it's monochromatic alright, BUT it was supposed to be a holiday card. I did a congrats card. I had both sentiment stamps out and with the mommy mush brain taking over, I stamped the wrong sentiment! It still works though, I just felt really bad for doing it wrong:( I didn't even catch it until I already had it posted!!! Good gravy! Anyways, here is the mess up!

I KNOW I KNOW...I totally DITCHED my blog. It was a MUCH needed break from the cyber world. You all know how it SUCKS you in and just can manage to take over every aspect of your life...I needed to take a step back, reevaluate, reorganize, pretty much any word you can put the prefix "re" in front of lol!!

BUT..I am feeling much better. I am getting my creative mojo BACK. I am starting to want to do challenges again, I miss my Moxie Fab world so much!! I want to make a billion cards for World Card Making Day. I want to have FUN again! I also so desperately want to reconnect with all of you amazing ladies who have always been on my blog, leaving such love!!

So to kick off my new found attitude....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my most amazing and sweet little man! He is the absolute light of our lives! This tiny guy we have gotten to care for, love, nurture, play with, snuggle with, watch grow, become this 3 year old KID!! Through quickly being potty trained, through the Terrible 2's, through bumps and bruises, through scary dream nights, Noah has become this incredibly smart, complete comedian with a heart of gold and a grin that can make the saddest person smile!! I can not be more blessed to have this little boy, to have made this little boy, to have the joy of watching him grow! It is hard it happens so fast, for anyone who has children....you know what I mean:) And to know one day he will be all grown up, with a family of his own...I am so happy to know I will have gotten to teach him and love him his whole life to get him to where he is going! 3 is an amazing age, Noah is just a sponge of youth waiting for the next awesome thing to happen, and I can't be more thrilled to be here for him!! I love being this amazing little boy's mommy. It is the most wonderful job I could ever ask for. God has certainly blessed our family with him! With both of our healthy, sparkling, bubbly spirited children! I thank Him for this gift of family He has given us! Everyday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH!! WE LOVE YOU TO PIECES BABY MAN!!

(taken this morning, he said "I a DRONG man!!" hahahahaha LOVE!)

CAS Challenge at TOL!!

First up I have the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger! I pinned the Trigger photo on Pinterest as SOON as I saw this gorgeous coat! It's a very inspiring piece and it makes me want to go find a new winter coat!!

And here is my card!

It's not exactly what I had planned in my head but I was definitely inspired by the colors and in an attempt to create ruffles I thought of butterfly wings! Did it work? Maybe not, but a pretty card none the less!

And secondly I have a TTCRD challenge card! It was a recipe this month, 1 Ribbon, 2 Pattern Papers and 3 buttons! In need of a birthday card for my nephew I pulled out some Recollections and DCWV scraps, added a red ribbon and some colorful buttons and WHA-LA! Instant cute little boy birthday card!
I think it came out really cute! And I know my nephew will love it!!

Beautiful Botanical!

This is one the one I have been waiting for!! I knew it was going to be a challenge Cathy at Moxie Fab would post and I have had ideas swirling with papers and stamps for weeks! Fanatical About Botanical! is so up my alley with my love for vintagey goodness and anything with flowers! (including that really horribly tacky wall paper from the 70's with giant metallic flowers against black walls!) So...for my first entry into this awesome challenge I did a bright and fun botanical card!

Pretty cute! I love this BG paper it is just too sweet! I am in desperate need of a new pair of fussy cut scissors and because of this the edges of my flowers are a bit distressed but for this card that was no problem...it totally went with the design! So YAY for crappy scissors!! It's blah here weather wise so no good lighting and the colors are a bit bright than they are IRL (if you have this paper in your stash the colors are bright and fun but not has highlighter looking as in my photos!) And I got this new yummo trim from Fine and Dandy by Jen Allyson...LOVEEEE them!! I have more cards for this challenge that are just not put together yet, check back for some more botanical amazingness!! CAS Challenge at The Outlawz!

The Sunday CAS challenge has posted at The Outlawz and it is a stamperific one! You must use your stamps to create ALL the elements for your card...whether it be patterned paper, or an embellishment! I did just that with my butterfly stamps!

I LOVE these stamps, they are probably my favorites...and that is truly a very hard thing to say about stamps! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! Today is my rest day...hanging out in the house and maybe just getting some crafting done. It's been far too long!

CAS Stars and Stripes!

The new CAS challenge at the Outlawz is use stars or stripes in any way, shape or form, color or theme! I went with a classic red, white and blue combo and masked using my Slice to cut star diecuts from cardstock and inked up a cotton ball to spread the ink! I think it looks wicked cool!! I also added the pearls for the white star because you really can't see the white ink against the white cardstock, no matter how I took the photo. I am glad I did though because it added the perfect touch of embellies to this one layer card!

This is a thank you card for the amazing soldiers who have risked their lives, lost their lives, given their entire selves to create a peace for this country and all of us who live here! Please have a wonderful, safe 4th of July weekend everyone!!

It certainly has....since I posted anything crafty anyways! So I remembered I had wanted to share the metal star I decorated!!

This is for my daughter's bedroom! PS...it is NOT easy to stamp on this uneven surface LOL!!! I created this for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz!! It used to be the scrapbook group but with a fresh new look and ALL NEW CHALLENGES incorporating all DIFFERENT kinds of crafting projects!! I had one more idea for a "sew excited" challenge at Moxie Fab World and here it is in all it's CAS glory!

It's not exactly how I had pictured it but sometimes that happens! And the reason behind one more card is I REALLY wanted to use that pin cushion stamp but couldn't get it to work with the other cards! I think it's just so darn cute! Anywho, I think I have worn this challenge out...I just really got into this one!

PS...sorry for the still not so fab photos, STILL using my phone camera because my charger for my camera camera has yet ot be located :( BOO! May have to bite the bullet and buy a new one!

As I type a fantastic challenge I'm Sew Excited!! is going on! Sew, that means sewing machines, scissors, thread and needle, pin cushions, dress forms...whatever you can think of you USE to sew with can be incorporated into your project! I went a little crazy and made 3 cards already...with a fourth in the works!! So here are the first 3 and I think it's funny going from one shabby vintagey style to CAS haha!

Soggy Scene!

The challenge that's up at Some Odd Girl is to "make a scene" and I immediately wanted to do a beach scene using Kody on his surf board...and I would link you to it but I can't find him in the shop! So anyways I built up the beach scene with kraft "sand", a fun hand drawn sun, and some narly "waves" (hand cut and gessoed for that foamy ocean look!) with Kody riding on in with his little crabby friend (isn't he the cutest!!)

There it is!! Can't wait to be able to GO to the beach myself with the kids! Emma has done nothing but talk about swimming and wearing her bikini!! Too cute!!

I clicked over there today and then spent an hour trying to sift through my years of blogging to find the first wedding card I ever posted...well come to find out, it wasn't all that long ago!! I don't make wedding cards often, really only for when there is an ACTUAL wedding, and I have been to 2 in the past couple of years but APPARENTLY I didn't blog about them! I was in a vintagey mood and thought of these paper scraps I had from Webster's Pages and wha-la! vintagey baby card at it's cutest! And I love this sentiment stamp from Ippity! Trendy Chevron from scratch!

I so wanted to play along with the Moxie Fab Chevron Chic Challenge but did I have anything in this trendy pattern? OF course not! So I put my crafty cap on and thought, hey, why not use a corner stamp to create the pattern! And man did it WORK!!! I Completely LOVE the effect I got using this swirly little corner stamp from Inkadinkadoo and will definitely be doing this again! Now I want to find tons of corner stamps LOL!!

I also made this for the APC forum, Metal Challenge! See that cute little metal charm? No clue where it came from, it was hidden in my junk stash dish! Cute though I thought!

Winged Things on Shaped Cards!

2 Challenges I found today I thought were fun, one from Some Odd Girl (make a shaped card) and the other from Through The Craftroom Door (any winged thing) and immediately a mushroom shaped card using Happy Angel Kaylee popped into my head! After a few trial and error making the card from scratch (obviously I do not own a mushroom template!!) I thought it came out great! I layered...and layered...and layered some more...colored and punched, and lots of cutting out and came up with this sweet thing!

Sorry for the crap photo, but my mom went on a cruise and asked if she could use my camera on her trip so my camera on my phone is holding me over until she gets back next week! (can you say YIKES!! it's been only 2 days and I am having major camera withdrawals!!) Anywho, hope you like my card today! I plan on getting more done tomorrow since I don't have to work..YIPPEE!! Have a great night!

Wedding CAS at TOL!

New CAS challenge is posted a little early for tomorrow (lucky you!!) and the theme this week is WEDDING!!! May/June is like the BIGGEST season for weddings! And let me tell you, I am in my friend Carrie's wedding May 28th and I am SO EXCITED!!!! This month has been a WILD one! Doing lots of crafty things for the wedding and once they are finished I will definitely share them with you!

You know how much I LOVE this MS butterfly punch...welllllll I got a coupon for 40% one MS product at Mike's and went there today and got the OTHER butterfly punch I REALLY REALLY wanted too! So now I have these 2 great punches...{{pure love}} Definitely will be showcasing cards made with that awesome punch!!

New Challenge, New Place!

I was invited to (what is new to me) a awesome little ning site for a cool little scrappy magazine Through The Craftroom Door. You can subscribe to the magazine and you can get an online version as well as a hard copy in the mail! AND you can submit to the magazine!! Well, my dear dear friend Lisa(ThePurplePlace) won a challenge there and was offered a one year subscription for herself or as a gift and she gifted it to ME!!! How wonderfully sweet is she?! I can't thank her enough! I am so excited to be part of this group now and I already got their first challenge done...twice!!

The challenge was ANYTHING GOES!! Let loose! Well, I got these FANTABULOUS stamps from Unity and Ippity in the mail from my awesome friend Angie, and I HAD to ink them up IMMEDIATELY!! Just look how cute these sunglasses are!!

I just thought they were so fun and snazzy! And the brights inks from Stampin' Up! were perfect for them...I have so many ideas for these stamps! Tomorrow is another day:)

Trigger and a Challenge!

A Polka Dotted Hullabaloo! There are just so many things to do when it comes to polka dots...and while in all honesty I wasn't totally taken by this weeks Tuesday Trigger, I did have these flowers I have been waiting for the perfect color combo to come along and use and here it is!!

and here's my CAS card! I used Dots For Sure by Ippity...if you love it as much as I do click on the link to Rona's Ippity shop on my side bar!! She's the best Ippity chick around! For some reason the blue in this card looks SO bright on the computer but IRL, it's much darker! Strange!

Onto the challenge! A Moxie Fab challenge to be exact using tissue paper in innovative ways! Now I wasn't too creative in what I made by just taking the twisted paper flowers and turning them into lolli pops BUT it went PERFECTLY along with the Papercraft Star challenge as well!! So since I wanted them to look like lolli's, I twisted 2 different colors of tissue paper together before twisting them together! I used metallic tissue paper to make the lolli pop sticks as well which I really love!

Tuesday Trigger and a SURPRISE!!

The Tuesday Trigger this week is stunning and inspiring as always! I immediately knew what I wanted to do! I loved this tag that Teri Anderson made on pg 16 of PC May/April 2011 issue and wanted to not only make a baby card but use the same layout she did. I spiced it up with some wet/crumple flowers, decorative diecuts, AND I used my MS score board for the VERY FIRST TIME to do something other than score a card!! WHOO HOO!! And I absolutely LURRRRRV the background it made for my card! Simple, sweet, perfect!

Charisma Cardz is this awesome challenge blog I have been desperately trying to do some challenges for! And i finally did!! I used the Color Create challenge 68 for my color combo, and the Charisma theme which is Wedding or Anniversary!

My second card is for the Clean&Simple Challenge FTL 135 and the Let's Ink It Up Challenge #12! Sketch from C&S and the theme at LIIU! Easter Creations! And you have to use a rubber stamp! Which my bunny and "easter" are!

From Cute to CASE

I got a few challenge cards done last night and finished up my DT projects for April! I have been getting very productive late at night while the kids are sleeping and George is at work! I love it, it's very peaceful!!

First we have the C.R.A.F.T Challenge #97 and the Design Dollies Elements Challenge! I had to use an animal or pet, and buttons in a creative way. I have been hanging onto this cute stamp for ages and wanted to ink it! So glad I did because it's ADORABLE!

And then there is the ever so stunning CASE study challenge! I LOVE this challenge group so much! And they have an amazing Muse for April Silke Ledlow . She is one crazy talented lady! And I loved her card so much I truly CASEd it!!

Burst of Blooms!

Sorry for the TERRIBLE lighting. But it's dark out and well, I am being to impatient to wait to post this in the AM!

350 Gift Wrap and a Tutorial!

I had this AWESOME idea for a gift wrap tube for my friend who is getting married May 28th. So I had to go out and buy Pringles for the can!! I made a little photo tutorial to share with this as well as the finished project which I have to say I am SUPER happy with! Carrie is going to LOVE it and I can't wait to give it to her!!

Here ya go...

Get your Pringles can prepared by either eating all the chips (wink wink) or putting them into another container. Wipe out the inside with a slightly damp paper towel.

Choose your 12x12 paper that you will be wrapping your can with as the base. Measure and cut the paper so the top edge fits right up against the collar of the can and along the metal rim on the bottom. Make sure you leave a 1/2 in extra when wrapping it around the can so the paper over laps a bit when you glue it onto the can.

Decorate you paper (if you are doing any kind of stamping like I did, you need to do this BEFORE you glue the paper onto the can.) Embellishments are best if hot glued on (for me anyways!) And I added all of my embellies after I wrapped the can with my paper. I used Recollections white cardstock which wrapped the can beautifully!

Once you are done doing your paper and are ready to glue it to the can, choose a STRONG quick drying adhesive. I don't recommend hot glue for this because it dries too quickly and and you can see it under the paper. I used Aleene's Tacky glue and first just gently sanded the surface of the can where the glue goes. You don't have to glue the entire piece of paper to the can. I did a straight line (at what I wanted to be the back of the can) of glue and pressed the paper till it was stuck firmly, wrapped it around and then glue down the other edge. I didn't like the way the seem looked so I glued a strip of trim (the same I used around the top of the lid) up the seam and it hid it beautifully! Glue on your embellishments, tie on a ribbon and WHA-LA!

Now for the lid, just trace the lid onto whatever paper you are going to use, hot glue it onto the top of the lid (or if you are not going to embellish it with dimensional things, you can always cut it slightly smaller and put it on the inside of the lid.) I put it on the top of the lid however and decorated it!

I like to hide the ugly plastic edge of the top with a beautiful trim! Just choose your trim or ribbon, and hot glue it along the edge like this...

Now that the can and lid are COMPLETE...take pictures!! Here is my finished project with a few buttons, pearls, a cute tag and sentiment and a gorgeous satin bow!

Do you like the button on the bow? I MADE it!! I had no pretty buttons so I took a few loose gems and a pearl and glossy accented them to the center. Worked like a charm! Ok enough from me, hope everyone has a splendid week!!

350 Cards and Gift Continued!

I got 2 more of the challenges for the 350 Cards and Gifts week at Moxie Fab done!! I was up till 3 in the morning because I just could NOT sleep! I am finishing up another gift wraps challenge project as well. I just couldn't make just one!! Anywho, first up in the Gift Card Holder Challenge..

This I am super proud of, not only did I come up with the design entirely on my own but I used the beautiful pins that I NEVER know what to do with that have been in my stash for a while from my wonderful friend Jenn! My sister just found out she is having a baby girl and I have already made her like 3 cards LOL! This will be another one with a special gifty inside!

Next up is the Little Gifts Challenge! I got this awesome template from my friend Maureen for this nifty little holder for your desk, counter, where ever you want to put it! It is the PERFECT gift for anyone because you can really change up the theme!! I am working on a masculine one next, probably a gifty for my Dad! This one is more geared for a tween! My niece Amanda is 9 and she would LOVE it!! It's perfect for a little notepad, pencil, pen, sticky notes, stamps, stationary accessories! I really need to make a few for myself! They are even big enough to hold CD cases!

I love how it has the divider inside!! It really makes it easy to organize in it! My friend made 2 and glued them back to back for double the space and cuteness!! Perfect idea for scrappy supplies! I made one for my sister because she just moved into a new house and I filled it with all different scrappy goodies for her brand new AWESOME scrapbook room!

WOW, I have been on a major roll lol!! And I will be back later with another post with the gifty wrap...wait till you see it!! You will want to go by Pringles:)

Oh My Moxie!

Challenges that is!! 350 Cards and Gifts mag came out and Cath has posted some awesome challenges inspired by it!! It was hard to choose what to do first! But I did haha, and I am loving how these challenges are inspiring me! First up is the Food Wraps Challenge! I wanted to make a box to put cookies in when I found this perfect sturdy box in my stash! I had brown paper packages tied up with string in my head! I put my own twist on it with kraft paper packages tied up with ribbons!!

I've been hoarding that DCWV sparkly kitchen paper for a long time now and this was the perfect time to use it! Mixed with some new papers and a giant bow, who could go wrong? Now I just need to figure out who to give it to filled with some scrumptious homemade cookies!!

Next up is the Gift Wraps Challenge There are a thousand birthdays coming up in my family and I know I will be in need of some great wrapping! I don't have any already made gift bags so I had to make my own template and put this one together. It was actually EXTREMELY easy since I just purchased the MS Score Board!! I have been DIEING to get one of these or the Score Pal but I got an email from Michael's (perks of joining their little card club thingy!) for the Daily Deal and the score board was on sale for $9.99!!! Awesome steal! Ok ok to the gift bag,

Pretty cute huh? I thought so:) LOL!! I am having such a blast making all these things, and I really need to get my hands on a copy of the 350 mag!! Maybe my next trip to Joann's they will have one!

HEC Challenge # 16!

Over at Happily Ever Crafter, Ted has his monthly challenge posted, and since it is his birthday month (as well as my hubby's!! Tomorrow George is 23!) it's to use his fave color combo Purple and Green! Oh and since he's going to be 44...we had to use 4 of anything (except corners! they don't count!) So I intended on using 4 butterflies and somehow ended up with 5 LMBO! So I went wit ha sentiment with 4 words!

I think it came out pretty!! Purple and Green are NOT my favorite color combo lol (sorry Ted!) but I made it work! I really need to invest in some more leafy stamps...hope you enjoy this one Ted and Happy Birthday!!!

In My Beautiful Balloon!

Another fabulous challenge from Cathy at the Moxie Fab blog! Did I have ANYTHING with hot air balloons? Of course not lol....so I had to come up with how to make the balloon. After looking at all these awesome stamps I really fell in love with the vintagey balloon stamps! It's like they are a big ball with a net or fabric sling over them...and that's when I found these yummy papers from Gartner Studios- Bon Voyage Postage Stamps and World Map! Perfect for a vintage hot air balloon card TOTALLY inspired by the photo from Pinterest Cathy posted!

So first I got to making the balloon. Hand drew it, cut it out, inked it up, and glued the layers together! Then I cut a little basket out of embossed kraft paper and inked that too to give it some more dimension! I sewed the basket to the balloon and then started the card! I had to use my Copics to color my ribbon since I had nothing that worked as it was, and colored my lace too! Lots of effort into this little card haha! Here it is...

A touch of pearls and a big button pieced this card together perfectly. Hope you guys like it!!

Moxie Challenge Card Sets!

Let's Ink It Up Challenge #11 is to you your punches or die cuts! I had to get this great new rubber stamp from Hero Arts (RAK from one of my dear friends Clare!!) Some vintagey goodness...

The rubber stamps I used are the birdcage from Hero Arts, and the sentiment and frame! I actually tried a technique I saw somewhere where you stamp the BACK of the stamp with a lighter colors, then stamp the image normally with a darker color! I think it worked pretty good for my sentiment label! And my punch is the MS butterflies! Love this punchy SO MUCH!!

The Moxie Trigger is adorable this week! I LOVE cupcakes (baking is my second passion) and these polka dot cupcake wrappers stole my heart!

I wanted to to make something a little different, well I usually do lol so I decided to make cupcake hot air balloons! This trend is still so hot right now! I also used fair tickets but turned them over to make a cool border! I used the bottom of a cupcake stamp for my "basket" and I drew the tops! I think they came out pretty cute!

This card is also for the APC Forum Cuppy Cakes challenge! Jilly just posted a fun new challenge that will get you "sew" in the mood to craft!! ;oP

the apc forum that i totally loves had a crop that kinda was an epic fail (well i had a freaking fun time doing the challenges ANYWAYS) so i decided to share what i did for the challenges and get the word out for this AWESOME forum!! we really need more peoples to come and join in on all the coolness going on!! its so casual and completely o-p-e-n...if you are having a crap day and want to say you're having a shit day you don't have to worry about having your head bitten off for swearing!! hahaha, i can be a total potty mouth if i am angered...which happens *gasp* lmbo!!

Totally Hues and Unscripted Sketches!

I was searching around for a few fresh challenges to do today and I found the Totally Hues #4 color combo challenge and the Unscripted Sketches #98 sketch. The sketch was a toughy for me until I looked at the DT samples and got some ideas for it! And the color hues, they are AMAZING!! I did try to make them work together but I just wasn't happy with the way it came out so I ended up with making 2 different cards! Still not thrilled with the sketch, but I love how the color hues card came out!!

I have a quite a bit to share today! I went a little Taz on my crafting last night and got a whole bunch of challenges done that I have been wanting to play along with! To start us of is the Clean and Simple Sketch! I love this sketch and I have another idea for it but this is the first one!

And now for the Color Hues Challenge LOVEEEEE this color combo and I was lucky enough to have all this yummy SU! and TAC stuff in the perfect colors!! AND I used my favorite ribbon treatment that I saw on a youtube video!

I have a few more cards that I am debating on mailing into the Stamping Royalty Contest or not...if and when I decide I will post them!

This time it's the Tuesday Trigger! I was so excited when I saw the trigger photo and knew almost immediately what I wanted to do! So i got to work and wha-la! The only boo boo I made was I turned the paper on the bottom half of the card in the wrong direction!! I really would have liked the words to be running the correct way but by the time I noticed I had already glued down all the buttons!! It's not terrible so it will do lol!!

Moxie Fab Cityscapes...but different

I had to get creative for the Cityscapes Challenge at the Moxie Fab Blog. I have nothing that is cityscapes form...no stamps, no papers...well, I just got this awesome stamp set in the mail from Miss Tracey and I thought why not make make the city scape out of cakes!! They are all different heights and layered in different colors it very much resembles a cityscape! So there you have it! And here is my sweet-scape!

And well since this in not a true cityscape, I'm hoping it counts towards the challenge, but if not well it was a wicked fun card to make anyways!!

It has been AGES since I played along with the Some Odd Girl Challenges! I LOVE Kristy's images, they are totally funky and fab-u-lous! Well, my darling hubby bought me a printer a couple of weeks ago and now I can finally print out all these digi's I have been hoarding for months!! Here is my first card with for the SOG challenge Spring!

(if you saw this already and it looks different it's because I HATED the sentiment and how it turned out so I changed it too this cute label sticker!)

I am by NO means a decent Copic artist lol....and I have to admit this is probably the best I have ever done with my limited supply of Copics! I did try a little technique I thought of that would make for a very cool effect on her shirt and that was to just do DOTS! If you click on the pic you can probably see it closer..but I just polka dotted her shirt with a pink and orange Copic and left a little white through...now i am addicted and need to try this with other colors!! I think it looks awesome!

This is also for the Artist Paper Crafting forum Crop challenge#1!!! If you have not made it over there yet...you REALLY need to!! I could probably do ten blog posts today but I figured combine them..makes it easier!! So first up is the Moxie Fab Stamp It! Stamping with Markers Challenge! I was not planning on doing this challenge because well, I don't really color...my Copic collection is slowly growing...and when I say slowly, I mean I have not added to it since last year! But I just got this adorable stamp set from SU!! Birthday Bakery (I tried to find a link to it but I couldn't find it!! EEP!) Anywho...I stamped, I colored with a whimsical approach kinda like Mariana Grigsby and her Floatie Fun Card! I loved the look...and here is what I did with it!

Cute right? I love these bright happy colors together and this card is a great mix of SU! and Ippity!

On to the second challenge...Design Dollie's Color Challenge for march is up and it is hot!! Pink Pink Pink with a splash of yellow! At first I was like oh gosh what to do?? Then it just HIT me! And this little bit of fancy was born!

Green is the Thing at...

Really Reasonably Ribbon Challenge!! Of course I am totally stuck on this CAS style right now! So I made this cutie card with all SU! supplies except the ribbon that's Ribbon Boutique! I need to work on my ribbon treatment...for some reason this one just came out lumpy! I don't know why LOL! But it's still pretty cute, don'tcha think??

I also HAVE to share this adorable card that my friend Maureen's son Ethan made me while I was visiting for our scrappy day! He was just so sweet, both of her boys are! But he made me this awesome dinosaur card!

Isn't that the cutest thing ever?! I am happily displaying it on my desk shelf!

And here is a photo from our scrappy day!! Jenn, Mo and I had SUCH a fabulous day!! The trip was tiring but WELL worth it and I can't wait to do it again!! I needed this little getaway so badly! Thanks for the wonderful memories ladies!!

Hello cuties!! It is almost time for the launch of the Hello Cutie Challenge Blog, started by the best Ms Lizzie herself!! And guess who is on the DT??? That's right!! You are looking at her!! I couldn't believe when Lizzie asked me to join the team, and of COURSE I said yes!! So anyways...I am very excited and Sunday is just going to be an ALL around awesome day!! Yellow Trigger!

A super yummy Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday for this week! I am not a huge fan of yellow but I fell in love with the yellow ink Daffodil Delight from SU! And then I had the buttons...it was a match made in heaven! Very simple thank you card with some new SU! stamps and paper! :)

My CAS has been coming out more and more and I love this card! I messed up the first time but got it right the second LOL!

Moxie Fab Trigger!

This weeks Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World is so cute! I love the pillow, would totally have that in my living room with my black leather couch..it would be a sweet accent pillow! Anywho...I had nothing that I really loved for this card. I took out the matching colored cardstock...hated it. Tried 3 different things and it just didn't want to come out right. So I went to plan B...my Copics! I don't have many but I DO have these 3 colors! So I doodled up these cute whimsical flowers, colored some pearls to match, stamped my happy sentiment, and I was done! So after 2 hours of trying...in 5 minutes flat I made this...

Bout time!

I did a new post! LOL! I had one heck of a week here between being very very sick and having a few good friends need lots of love and support. To start, I would like to say I am so very sorry for my very dear sweet friend Pryn, who's wonderful mom Sharon passed away this week. Also, my friend Catherine, who lost her grandmother. And lastly, my friend Dwayne, who also lost his grandmother. I love you all and I wish I could give you big hugs and take away the pain you a feeling. So I ask you to pray for comfort for them and their families while they are going through this devastating time.

Yes, it was a rough week. I had to force myself to get crafty. I just couldn't get into the mood while grieving for my friend's losses. I am glad I made myself though because it did help to relieve some of the sadness.

Now for the scrappy part of the post!

I love the scrappy forum I am part of Artistic Paper Crafting They have some really AWESOME challenges...and of course I loves me some good friendships there!! Definitely head over there and check it out...you will NOTTTT be disappointed!! Now for a few samples of the awesome challenges...

Scrap Scavenger Hunt...Jilly bean posted little list of supplies we had to gather from our stash and take pictures of, that was not really a challenge, but it was fun..the challenge was to use 2 things from each photo to create a project!! THAT WAS HARD!!! I didn't have many matching things in my pictures but I luckily made it work...

Cute right? They are my doll babies..I can't get enough of those smiles!

Paint It Kraft Challenge....they always have a Paint It blah blah blah challenge (just means the background of your project has to be whatever color they state) in this case it's KRAFT. Pshhh I LOVES me some kraft paper so of course I jumped this bandwagon!

Is it yummm? I do think so myself lol...I am totally in love with the title and how it came out...I surprise myself sometimes!

What else what else...I think I will hold off on the rest for tomorrow! I need to get back into the sing of blogging after my week long hiatus!

Paper Piecing Yum!

One of the challenges going on at Moxie Fab World is a stamping technique, PAPER PIECING! This is one of my ALL TIME favorite ways to utilize my stamp collection, and flowers are one of my MOST favorite to paper piece!

I wanted the card to be clean and simple...but have a major POP of color and layers! Does that make sense lol?! My daisy stamp is an all time fave from the Angel Company, perfect for my idea to cut the petals apart and layer! I stamp each pp 3 times and cut out all the flowers. Then cut apart 2 of them and glued them to the 1 remaining. Added these cute buttons from Oriental Trading and wha-la! Instant cute flowers! The sentiment is also from The Angel Company (can you tell I LOVE their stamps!!)

Hope you like my paper pieced flowers!! This is a great challenge, especially if you are not a colorer, it's a great way to really use those stamps!!

Just Squeezing In...

For the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab from last Tuesday...cutting it a bit close there right? My first attempt at this card was an epic fail and went straight to the waste basket..bad mood starter for sure! AND to top it off, it was the last bit of THAT particular paper I really wanted to use that I had in my stash so I was convinced that was it...I was giving up! So I was digging through my paper looking for something for another project and I found a few fun sheets of cupcake and chocolate papers from the Sweet Stack from DCWV! *lightbulb!* Figured I could work something out! Well, it's not my best, it certainly could be alot worse, but here it is in all it's last-minute glory!

And since it's so dark here, I couldn't get the best photo, but you get the idea! Maybe I will retake it tomorrow..we'll see!

Valentine's x5!

I am not one to enter 1 card into multiple challenges, like ever. I usually make a different card for every challenge I enter but there are about a billion Valentine's challenges going on right now!! I have made so many I won't have to make any at all for like the next 3 years! So I decided to combine quite a few for this one particular card. And I made sure that it fit ever challenge well, instead of just kinda working for it...I am quite particular lol! But probably cause this is out of my comfort zone doing this!

2 Post Kinda Day!

I was feeling very crafty today, in spite of my much neglected house that needs a thorough cleaning! With new kitty on the loose and kidlets close on her heels...I scrapped the day away! So another super fun challenge from Really Reasonably Ribbon brought me to this little cutie today...

Love ya! I got this stamp for a DOLLAR at AC Moore with a couple of other sentiments in the set! Couldn't pass that up, the font is so fun and funky!! And I won these heart stickers from Close to my Heart from my darling friend Tracey! They are so much better looking in person, love them! Got some jumbo white ribbon on there and wha-la! Instant love card:) Hope you enjoy, scroll down for my first post from today with my Moxie Fab challenge cards!!

Back to the Grind!

Ok, I actually have no idea what that saying means but I am sure it has something to do with everyday life being very busy and full of work/living!! And that has definitely been me this past week!! So so busy...anywho, I was working on The Appearance of Cameos challenge over at Moxie Fab World . Finished it up today after long deliberation! It just didn't feel finished...but then I did some hand sewing. I don't have a sewing machine right now so it was all up to me and my patience! It actually was very very easy, and I completely love the look I achieved! This card has turned into one of my favorites for the week!! With my short attention span I am sure I will be onto the next loverly before you know it! So here it is in all it's glory...

Isn't that stacked button pin FABULOUS?? I needed an extra something...saw the pin sticking out of my pin cushion, it needed some color...what is an Amy card without buttons? Well, there ya have it! Best idea ever!!!

I also had this random felt heart sitting on my desk, it happened to fall on a kraft die cut and looked FABULOUS, reminded me of the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger. I already made one card for this challenge, but this fit the bill so perfectly! So here is entry #2...

Bold and Bright, Round 2!

I had an idea for another Bold and Bright Challenge entry, but it looked alot better in my head. I don't know what happened but oh well lol. It still came out pretty darn cute with these SU! stamps and Simplicity buttons! I had to hand punch the border for the desired look but it worked!

I had an absolute blast with these color combo challenges from Moxie Fab World. They were totally inspiring and some pushed me out of my comfort box!! I rarely start with a color combo so this was also a nice change! The color combinations where from the PC Color Inspiration magazine.

Here is the Pretty Pastels Challenge:

I used chipboard letters and colored them with a black Copic. I then Glossy Accented them:) One of my very favorite techniques and products to use! I am a huge fan of the epoxy letters but man are the $$$! This is a great alternative! That little robot stamp...cutie pie from The Angel Company. Gems are Kaiser, glitter is MS. Ribbon is Craft Essentials, and all the paper except the polka dot pink is DCWV. The polka dot is KIWI Embroidery Paper, very cool texture, very different but fun to play with!

So I may squeeze in one more of these color challenges before midnight...let's see what happens!!

Last Day! Moxie Color Challenges

Today is the last day if you want to enter into any of the Moxie Fab Color Challenges. There are some amazing color combos to work with, and who doesn't love the chance to win some prizes or be featured in Paper Crafts!!

I finally found some papers and a design that worked for me with the Metallics Combo.

Sorry for the shadow, the lighting here has been AWFUL with this yucko weather. The shimmery pink paper is TPC Studio Paradise Pink Shimmer, the glittery tan paper is DCWV Mariposa Stack, Kraft is Paper Company, Stamp from The Angel Company "Savvy Sayings", pearls from Kaiser and butterflies from Simplicity.

This one is a sweet one!! I have been meaning to get some Valentine's Day cards done and this week's Trigger completely inspired me to get on the ball!

Ok, well it was yesterday...so I'm running a day late....WHOOPS!! Haha, but it is another fine day at the Dollhouse with another fabulous sketch challenge just waiting for you to scoop up and get creative with! So I'm the GDT for the month of January, but you already knew that;-P AND here is the sketch (and don't forget to go look at the PRIZE you are playing for!!)

How did this trigger inspire me?

Can you see it? I loved the color palette, it is so different, and I do NOT like mixing grey with brown...or black with brown, but this card totally yelled at me to use these colors! I have been loving on this stamp set as well lately..."Sew Thankful" from The Angel Company, it's been fun getting it all inky!! Hope you like my trigger card!!

Moxie Bright and Bold Challenge!

Totally loving these color challenges at Moxie Fab World! And here is another that I LOVED working with! The Bright and Bold Color Challenge is one of my favorite but very challenging color combos to work with! It's hard to get the colors JUST right!! Here is the color palette,

Now for my very CAS card to go along with it...I used mostly white with touches of black and pink and tangerine!!

Maybe a better photo is called for...the lighting is TERRIBLE here!! Night is no time to try and take pictures but I was just very excited to get this posted!! SO, tomorrow there will be a photo switch out that hopefully shows off the colors much better! Hope you like my card!!

Another Moxie Challenge!

Cath over at Moxie Fab World Blog is on an awesome roll with these fabulous Color Combo challenges! AND I ran across the Clean and Simple Stamping challenge and fell in love with the sketch! So combining 2 challenges today which is very rare for me, but it was FUN FUN FUN!!

I had a bit of inspiration by one of the cards posting on the Moxie blog, the sun and clouds just spoke to me! (And it was the only papers I had that matching the color swatch!! EEEEP!)

Moxie Trigger!

I loved the Moxie Trigger for this week, and after I discovered I can actually make these gorgeous paper roses (thanks to the wonderful Tammy's tutorial over at The Outlawz!) it got me thinking...how awesome would the roses be in all different colors! So I pulled the colors from the trigger, made up some 2 tone roses, some glue, a sentiment and WHA-LA! Instant pretty card!

Ok so here is the Trigger Pic:

I love how this came out...the flowers are a bit time consuming but fun! I do not own a 5 petal flower punch but I do have my Slice and on the Basics Cart it had a 5 petal flower and since you have to cut a hole in the middle of it anyways, it worked perfect because the hole is already there! Oh I love my Slice<3

Some creative yumminess!

Creative yumminess you actually get to EAT!! These amazing little homemade candies are not only extremely easy to make, but DELICIOUS!! Perfect teacher or bus driver, (any profession really!) GIFT! Now for the good parts....ROLLOS candies, pretzels and pecans (either plain or glazed, I used Pecan Pie Pecans...O-M-GOOD)

My sister introduced me to the recipe, I did a search online for baking instructions and wha-la! Here they are in all their chocolatey goodness!

So go to the store, by the goods, and get baking!

Instructions:

Place 1 Rollo candy on top of a small twist pretzel (as many as you want, you can get the tubes of Rollos and it comes with 8 in each roll, or the bag which has I think, 56 in it) Bake in the oven at 200 Degrees for 4 MINUTES (no more, no less, don't check them, just leave them be, I promise they will be PERFECT after 4 mins!) Take them out and IMMEDIATELY press 1 pecan (they usually come in halves, that is perfect) into each Rollo. It will smoosh perfectly into the top of the pretzel...should look like the picture above! Enjoy!!!

Congratulations! is what this is all about...there are SO many different events to make a Congrats card for my head was spinning with ideas when I landed on a baby card :) The sentiment I have on this card can work for any event really, I am always on the look out for stamps and sentiments that have multiple uses!
