Moxie Fab: Grey is the New Black!

And what a challenge it was! I think I went through 10 different papers before I landed on the 2 I liked the most...I even made embellies along the way that got discarded into the do-not-use pile! What can you do? LOL So for this Moxie Fab Grey is the New Black Challenge I was completely and totally inspired by this photo that Cath posted!

Moxie Trigger!

I loved the Moxie Trigger for this week, and after I discovered I can actually make these gorgeous paper roses (thanks to the wonderful Tammy's tutorial over at The Outlawz!) it got me thinking...how awesome would the roses be in all different colors! So I pulled the colors from the trigger, made up some 2 tone roses, some glue, a sentiment and WHA-LA! Instant pretty card!

I love how this came out...the flowers are a bit time consuming but fun! I do not own a 5 petal flower punch but I do have my Slice and on the Basics Cart it had a 5 petal flower and since you have to cut a hole in the middle of it anyways, it worked perfect because the hole is already there! Oh I love my Slice<3

Some creative yumminess!

Creative yumminess you actually get to EAT!! These amazing little homemade candies are not only extremely easy to make, but DELICIOUS!! Perfect teacher or bus driver, (any profession really!) GIFT! Now for the good parts....ROLLOS candies, pretzels and pecans (either plain or glazed, I used Pecan Pie Pecans...O-M-GOOD)

My sister introduced me to the recipe, I did a search online for baking instructions and wha-la! Here they are in all their chocolatey goodness!

So go to the store, by the goods, and get baking!

Instructions:

Place 1 Rollo candy on top of a small twist pretzel (as many as you want, you can get the tubes of Rollos and it comes with 8 in each roll, or the bag which has I think, 56 in it) Bake in the oven at 200 Degrees for 4 MINUTES (no more, no less, don't check them, just leave them be, I promise they will be PERFECT after 4 mins!) Take them out and IMMEDIATELY press 1 pecan (they usually come in halves, that is perfect) into each Rollo. It will smoosh perfectly into the top of the pretzel...should look like the picture above! Enjoy!!!

I have super exciting news and a couple of cards to share....

FIRST UP~ I was asked to be a GDT for Design Dollie's for the month of January...yes I know it is already January but I was super stoked they asked!!! Can't share those projects yet but you will have to check back to see them!!

SECOND UP~ I was asked to DESIGN for a brand new Ning site called The Outlawz!!! I was completely ecstatic and said YES YES YES!! It will be so great to be joining this fabulous group of women! I have the flyer about the opening of the site posted at the top of my blog, so make sure to check it out!! We go public TOMORROW JANUARY 10TH!!
